Amateur Radio
When I'm on the air, my main radio is the ICOM 7000. I like this radio and still have a lot to learn from it. I also have An Icom 2200 which is as bachup. In the truck, I have a Kenwood TM--D710A, which is used extensively while I'm traveling. When active, my APRS id is VE9XAB (which I should change!).
I don't have a standard Am/FM radio in my office, instead, I have 3 scanners. I have 2 BCD996XT and one older model BCD996T. I monitor public safety, Coast Guard, and air bands.
I also have an AIrNav Radar Box which monitors and decode ADS-B signals from commercial aircraft. The top screan shows a map of Atlantic Canada with all the aircraft I am tracking live.
