HOME - VE9XAB

Picture
My name is Tobie Boutot and I live in Haute-Aboujagane, NB, Canada.
My callsign is VE9XAB and I've been involved in amateur radio since 1998. The 3 letters in my call sign are the first letter of my sons' name - Xavier and Alexandre Boutot. I am mostly active on 2m and 70cm but starting on HF. I also enjoy scanning all bands, but mostly public safety. coastgard and airbands.

I can't have just one hobby like normal people... I also launch rockets. Amateur rocketry is a very interesting hobby if you like building stuff. You get to build your rocket, launch them and hopefully retreive it in one piece (or many pieces sometimes... if you can find them). Rocktery and Amateur radio work very well together. You can use APRS to track your rockets. Also amateur bands can be used for telemetry.

At work, I also use RF energy to create plasma. I work with microwave generator (915MHz and 2.45GHz) and RF Generator for Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP at 13.56MHz).
This site is under construction so stay tuned
